This virtual space is envisioned as a storytelling hub that reflects PALIMPSEST's approach to landscape regeneration. It serves as a dynamic repository, showcasing the essential "ingredients" and methodologies PALIMPSEST employs to address local environmental challenges.
The repository reflects the PALIMPSEST’s concept that landscapes are shaped by multiple actors across time and space, continuously redefining practices, spaces, and meanings. We believe that creative actions can enrich social and cultural practices when deeply rooted in the unique identities of places and communities.
Therefore, this repository aims to illuminate the collective process of "grounding" artistic interventions, shaped by a transversal and multidisciplinary team.
The repository is organized into four key sections: Open Calls, Challenges, Artistic Interventions and Narratives.
- The Open Calls section features invitations for proposals and announcements initiated by public and private actors. These calls look for creative and artistic ideas to deal with current environmental issues challenging cities and territories;
- Inside Artistic Interventions, a collection of creative initiatives at the intersection of science and art, aimed at inspiring transformative practices for sustainability.
- Finally, the section Narratives is a collection of stories coherent with the PALIMPSEST’s approach, providing insights on practices and case studies that demonstrate the transformative capacity of creative initiatives in dealing with environmental problems;
- The Challenges section contains detailed descriptions of site-specific environmental hurdles encountered in (urban) landscapes.
