We are pleased to announce the launch of PALIMPSEST re:SCAPE, a new virtual platform developed within the PALIMPSEST project, a living digital space for creative sustainable interventions to environmental challenges.
re:SCAPE is envisioned as a storytelling hub that reflects PALIMPSEST’s approach to landscape regeneration. It serves as a dynamic digital hub, gathering the essential “ingredients” and methodologies to site-specific environmental issues through creative interventions.
Rooted in the idea that landscapes are shaped by multiple actors across time and space, re:SCAPE highlights how artistic and cultural practices can enrich communities and transform our living environments. It showcases the collective and interdisciplinary process of grounding artistic interventions within the local identities of places and communities.
re:SCAPE is organized into four key sections:
- Open Calls – Invitations from public and private actors for creative and artistic proposals addressing current environmental challenges.
- Artistic Interventions – A collection of creative initiatives at the intersection of science and art, inspiring transformative practices for sustainability.
- Challenges – In-depth descriptions of site-specific environmental hurdles encountered in diverse landscapes.
- Narratives – A set of stories, reflections, and case studies illustrating the transformative capacity of creativity in responding to ecological and social issues.
