As part of the rooting of the ACQUA LAMBRO project, we recently visited the MAF – Museo Acqua Franca, a fascinating open-air museum located inside the Nosedo depurator plant in Milan. This plant, one of the most advanced in Europe, represents an excellent example of water reuse: treated wastewater is in fact used for agriculture, promoting a model of circular economy and optimal use of the water resources and the leftovers of the depuration process.

The MAF, managed by the Artedamangiare association, hosts an annual art exhibition as part of the International Water Depuration Festival, with works and installations exploring the multiple meanings of water.

During the visit, exciting prospects for collaboration emerged, which could further enrich our project. Many thanks to Ornella Piluso, artistic director, and Monica Scardecchia, curator, for their welcome and availability.
